Rome – There's also the excellence of Sicily enterprise SITAL IMPIANTI S.r.l. in the construction of the new Terminal C of Rome Fiumicino Leonardo Da Vinci Airport.
On December 21 was celebrated the inauguration of the boarding area with the company's management. The new complex, oriented towards a great functionality and harmony of forms will consist of two structures that reach 75,200 square meters. The first building (boarding Area E) is a stem of enlarging the current Terminal 3, which is directly connected to the Pier (boarding Area F) so that the set of two buildings can provide a total capacity of 5 million passengers a year. The complex will be equipped with 8 gates for boarding in Forepart and other 14 gate served by loading bridges at the pier. Within the intervention will be integrated spaces designed for shopping, services, catering and airline lounges. Construction, largely financed by AdR, were performed by Cimolai S.p.A. is from Sital Impianti srl multidisciplinary subcontract. Construction management is supervised by the ADR Engineering.
These are the numbers of the mega-project that was attended by 400 workers in support of major contractor Cimolai Spa and from Adr Spa:
